Het boek No rest for the dead is op 5 juli opnieuw uitgegeven. Dit klinkt niet zo bijzonder, totdat je weet dat het door 26 verschillende schrijvers geschreven is. Deze schrijvers hebben bij elkaar opgeteld miljoenen boeken verkocht.
De opbrengst van het boek gaat naar een leukemiestichting. Het iniatief kwam van Andrew Gulli. “I had an idea about a woman who was executed for a crime she didn’t commit,” zei Gulli in de Engelse The Telegraph. “So I wrote a prologue and handed it to the first author and he and the others started to write.”
Tussen de meewerkende schrijvers zitten grote namen. Dit is een opsomming van alle schrijvers: David Baldacci (Introduction), Jeff Abbott, Lori Armstrong, Sandra Brown, Thomas Cook, Jeffery Deaver, Diana Gabaldon, Tess Gerritsen, Andrew F. Gulli, Peter James, J.A. Jance, Faye Kellerman, Raymond Khoury, John Lescroart, Jeff Lindsay, Gayle Lynds, Philip Margolin, Alexander McCall Smith, Michael Palmer, T. Jefferson Parker, Matthew Pearl, Kathy Reichs, Marcus Sakey, Jonathan Santlofer, Lisa Scottoline, R.L. Stine en Marcia Talley.
Op de London Bookfair heeft uitgeverij The House of Books de vertaalrechten verworven. De uitgeverij brengt in april 2012 de vertaling uit onder de titel Geen rust voor de doden.
